Microsoft will incorporate three-dimensional avatars into its Teams video conferencing service next May , a novelty that will be accompanied by improvements such as spatial audio or filters, which it has already begun to deploy.
The technology company is preparing several new features for Teams, one of which has already begun to reach users, and which allows participants in a video call to introduce video filters that generate animated or aesthetic visual effects that frame the user.
This month, the company also plans to implement a user interface improvement that will make it easier to navigate and select files in OneDrive and SharePoints, as outlined in the roadmap of what’s new in Microsoft 365.
Avatars will arrive in May, which users will be able to customize both in appearance and in the reactions they show; spatial audio, to offer an immersive experience; and the improvements in Rooms that will allow to unify the background and adjust the size of the user in the video call with the aim of making it appear that all the participants are in the same room.
